CLIENT TESTIMONIALS CONCERNING HEALY FLUTE COMPANY INSTRUMENTS
On a custom basis, the Healy Flute Company can provide custom, hand-tooled engraving on your keywork. Pricing depends on the pattern and how much engraving you want. Email Skip with questions.
Featuring the same construction and quality of the rib-mounted keyed wooden flute, our Open-C model replaces the long C natural key with an open tone hole covered by the left thumb. Popular with Boehm flute players switching to simple-system instruments, the Open-C model provides a perfect C natural while providing a natural, keyless option to the long C key.

An old favorite in the Healy Flute family has undergone a great update! Our new, threaded "pedestal post" design lets us set the posts into the flute body with greater strength and stability. This design also lowers the key height in relation to the flute body for easier access to the touch pieces. This increases the easy-of-use and responsiveness of the key mechanisms on your Healy flute. Upgrade your keyless flute to a fully chromatic keyed flute and get all those pesky half steps with ease!

About 60 days for standard-model keyless flutes. Customized instruments will require additional time depending on the level of customization. Payment due in full at the time of purchase. We now accept PayPal, Visa, and MasterCard. Email Skip with questions.
How would you like to get a wooden flute that offers a fully chromatic range but with no cross-fingering, half-holing, or keys? You get just that with our keyless chromatic 10-hole flute. Though it takes some time get used to dedicating each finger to a tone hole, many of our clients have taken the challenge and absolutely love this instrument.

Our three-piece, open-C keyless flute utilizes the exact same design and construction at the standard unkeyed flute, but with one major difference. We've replaced the cross-fingering of C naturals with an open C tone hole operated by the left thumb. This allows you to produce a perfect C natural without cross-fingering and without a long C key.

The keyless wooden flute is where many of our clients get started on their musical voyages. The flute is available as both a two (head joint, one piece body) or three (head joint, body, foot joint) piece instrument. This sturdy, dependable flute is perfect for all forms of music and session playing as well as for recording and public performances. In tune across three octaves, you can play this flute as loudly or quietly as you need. All of our unkeyed flutes can be upgraded with keys at any time.
