1979 -- First Place, Solo Fife, in Connecticut State Championship Fife and Drum Competition.

1979 -- First Place, Fife Quartet, lead fifer, in Connecticut State Championship Fife and Drum Competition.

1979 -- First Place, Solo Fife, Northeastern States Championship Fife and Drum Competition.

1979 -- First Place, Fife Quartet, lead fifer, Northeastern States Championship Fife and Drum Competition.

1980-83-- Apprenticed with Chris Abell at Abell Woodwinds, Concord Ma.

1985 -- "Empty Pockets" album received Grammy Nomination - Best Debut Album (folk). Album features both Irish flute and fife.

1987 -- Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann - New York City Fleadh (North-American Irish Music Competition) - Solo Championship in three categories: Traditional Irish Flute, Fife, and Tin Whistle.  

1989 -- Named "Master Musician of Rhode Island" by R.I. State Council for the Arts.

1989 -- Grant Recipient - Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (Instructor - Folk Arts Apprenticeship).

1993 -- Established Healy Flute Company in Providence R.I. 

2000 -- Solo Recordings added to Ireland's Traditional Music Archive in Dublin, Ireland.

2001 -- Awarded Honorary Ph.D. - Boston College (Gaelic Studies).

2002 -- Grant Recipient - New England Council for the Arts (Instructor - Folk Arts Apprenticeship).

2003 -- Grant Recipient - New England Council for the Arts (Instructor - Folk Arts Apprenticeship).

2003 -- Grant Recipient - Rhode Island State Council for the Arts (performance/education).

2003 -- Grant Recipient - Rhode Island State Council for the Arts (traditional Irish flute studies).

2005 -- Grant Recipient - New England Council for the Arts (traditional Irish flute studies).

2004 -- Executive Commendation for 35 years continuous service in Rhode Island Militia, awarded by Major General Centracchio, Commander-in-Chief, R.I. National Guard.

2006 -- Grant Recipiant -  Rhode Island state Council for the arts Merit Award Fellowship Grant for folk Arts.

2007 -- Grant recipiant - Rhode Island State Council for the Arts Fellowship Award recipiant for Folk Arts.
