Skips Blog Chapter 7 "Remembering Timmahhh"

Submitted by Skip on Tue, 06/30/2009 - 3:40pm.

A big, baggy coat with a bunch of pockets, each filled with some type of delight for one of the sences and usually for all. A sly conspiritorial smile and a nod of the head. "Skip-ahhhhh,  T-T-T-Timmaahhhh" as the usual greeting and off we would go. Talks about everything and nothing, everyone and noone. Of Empty Pockets and full glasses, stories new and ones too good to become old. Tunes, tales and a few odd tokes while we were at it. Every visit, every time. Wednesdays and Sundays were typical but it could be anyday anytime too. On the way to class, on the way home from class but NEVER skipping class. Talks with my sister Sarah while she was here, talks about her after she was gone.  Varied topics and always a curious mind, an intellect that was always hungry. New words, new wines, new studies, new tunes, new forms, new katas, new trails, new body art, new bike componants, keepin it fresh all the time. From the pools of Barrington to Basel on the Rhine and from Ashaway to Amsterdam, Veni, Vidi, Vici.

An example of how to live, how to be a student of life, how to better oneself, how to be dignified, how to be proud without being boastful, how to listen and observe, and most importantly how to be a friend.

Musician, Massage Therapist, Martial Artist, Cyclist, Wine Geek, a Lover, a Joker, a Midnight Toker, the whole deal or no deal.

You`ll be missed in many places but will always be there every time, sitting quietly, flute at the ready, not missing a thing.

With Respect and Sincere Thanks for All you have taught me.

See you at the session man, save me a seat...
