The 2008 International Native American Flute Association (INAFA) convention will feature the premier performing artists, both Native and non-Native, in the music industry today. The convention's evening performances, which are open to the public, will feature Native American music in various formats, as well as Celtic music with the addition of Irish flute and fife maker/performer Skip Healy and bodhran player, Mark Bachand. INAFA strives to add the world element into its programs and into the organization itself, embracing all cultural musics and traditions. The INAFA is an organization whose goal is to foster the preservation, appreciation, and advancement of the Native American flute, as well as other world flute traditions.
