With the help of my new web master and designer Obi Wan Gamache (the Force is strong in him!) I am starting to make use of some of the cool cyber bells and whistles that are now available. It is especially helpful to me (neo-Luddite that I am) that the programs have been dumbed down so much in the past few years. Flutes and fifes I get, computers, not so much!!!

The event featured a dozen fife and drum corps from various states throughout the central U.S. First a few words about American fife and drum music in general and then this particular event.

Skip will be teaching and lecturing at the 2008 Freezer Jam held in Lafayette, In. He will also be performing a short concert of traditional Irish and American fife music with multi instrumentalist Joshua Dukes. More information to come soon!
